Sky Garden

Urban typologies for housing have evolved over the years from single unit residences to multi-unit residential towers. While most cities have similar expressions of these buildings forms in terms of volumes and styles, they remain constrained due to space and surrounds. Here, we had the opportunity to create an apartment in Chennai overlooking a large playground lined with nice greens! With the intention of making a statement of this typology, and integrating nature into the built form, we have designed Sky Garden- each residence on the floor, beautifully enveloped by a band of greens. Prioritising the views to the playground, our design offers ample open spaces and views across all floors. In view of creating a unique exterior we worked with exposed concrete and brick, that beautifully highlights the natural greens.
